Amateur Radio has been around since the sinking of the Titanic. I have been interested in the Amateur 'HAM' Radio hobby since I built my first crystal radio set on a piece of cardboard while watching Howdy Doody on my living room floor. Since that time I have progressed from holding an FFC Issued 'Novice' license up the ladder to the top of 'Extra' class.
Above is a older photo of my (very messy) home radio station. It is an all mode, HF, VHF and UHF station that is also digital capable and can transmit the fully allowable legal limit of 1500 watts. CW (morse code), SSB (voice) and advanced digital modes are my favorite modes.
Please check out the weather at my home weather station. It is hosted on Weather Underground. The weather station is a Davis Vantage Pro II station with is connected to the Internet at my house .. It uploads current data every 2 minutes. I attached 'weather cam' needs to be replaced and is currently our of service
